Resistance heat systems, such as base board heat, ceiling cable and electric furnaces are costly to operate.  Consider replacing your existing heating source with a high-efficiency heat pump for energy savings.

To qualify, your home must be at least two years old and you must be replacing electric resistance heat (baseboard heat, ceiling cable, or electric furnaces).  New manufactured homes that choose to install a heat pump also qualify for this incentive.  Proof must be provided that resistive heat was removed.  This is done by an onsite visit by our energy advisor who will take pictures and verify both old and new systems.

For systems manufactured in 2022 or before, the heat pump must be rated at 14 SEER/8.0 HSPF or higher for a package system, or 14 SEER/8.2 HSPF or higher for a split system, to qualify.

Beginning on January 1, 2023 all systems manufactured on or after that date must have a minimum rating of 14.3 SEER2/7.5 HSPF2 for a split system and a minimum rating of 13.4 SEER2/6.7 HSPF2 for a package system.

A new provision has been added to this program to allow for mini-split (duct-less) systems, provided they are also replacing electric heat.

* AHRI certificates are required for this rebate
