Fleming-Mason Energy Cooperative is proud to partner with other Kentucky Touchstone Energy Cooperatives to sponsor an annual Honor Flight through Honor Flight Kentucky, based in Lexington. We embrace their mission to fly World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War veterans to Washington DC for a one-day, all-expenses-paid visit to the memorials that are dedicated to their service and sacrifices.

Each day, our nation loses more than 1,500 World War II and 500 Korean War veterans. The goal of the Honor Flight program is to take as many of these heroes to see their memorials before they pass away. With every component of the trip, the focus is on the safety and comfort of the participants; it is truly tailored to create a memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The annual Fleming-Mason Energy and Kentucky Touchstone Energy-sponsored flight generally takes place in late August-early September. Fleming-Mason sponsors two (2) veterans who are current members of the cooperative and a guardian to accompany each. Each veteran and guardian must qualify per Honor Flight Kentucky requirements. Cooperative-sponsored veterans are selected from the existing waiting list through Honor Flight Kentucky; both age and time spent on the waiting list are considered when selections for the current year's flight are made.
